The district organized the celebration at Anyaboni within, a town under the Bisa/Anyaboni Area Council.
This colorful national programmed was participated by well-meaning people of different social strata including eminent Chiefs, Queen Mothers, the Clergy, Market Women, Security Agencies, Hon. Assembly Members, Heads of Department and Units of the Assembly, Heads of Institutions/Organizations, the Media, Members of the General Public and most importantly our deserving and hardworking farmers in the district.
In all, a total number of Two Hundred and Eighty-six (286) farmers comprising One Hundred and seventy-one (171) Men and One Hundred and Fifteen (115) Women from the Two Hundred and Fifty-Five (255) communities received various types of awards/prizes in recognition of their effort in ensuring food sustainability in the district and also contributing towards the country’s economy.
The farmer who was adjudged the overall best farmer received a brand new motor tricycle (Apsonic Brand) while other winners were presented various handsome prizes including home appliances such as (Fridges, Kettles, Fans, Radios etc. and some also gifted cutlasses, knapsack spraying machines, secateurs and farm inputs.
