As part of Government of Ghana policy to extend electricity to rural areas of the country, the Upper Manya Krobo District happens to benefit from the policy and this saw about twenty communities benefiting from the program. Beneficiary communities include; Sawa, Abesre, Dawa trem just to mention few.
