On the 12th May 2025, the Upper Manya Krobo District Assembly successfully organized a Special General Assembly Meeting convened by the District Coordinating Director, the Secretary to the Assembly for the approval and confirmation of the President’s Nominee for the position of District Chief Executive for the Assembly.
The election was conducted by the district electoral officers. At the end of polls, Hon. Emmanuel Kwesi Lawer the president’s nominee was successfully elected as the District Chief Executive for the Upper Manya Krobo District Assembly. He polled Thirty-Eight (38) votes out of a total of Forty -Nine (49) Assembly members representing 78% which constitutes two-thirds majority of the vote cast.
He was subsequently sworn-in by His worship Stephen Ofori Akrasi, the District court judge for Upper Manya Krobo District and was administered the official oath office and the oath of secrecy.
